STORY THE OLYMPIC GAMES

The olimpyc games were so called because they played at Olimpia, where they play in honor of the god Zeus.

The first Olympic games were held in 776 B.C. In the beginning the principal activity were the pentathlon, which included discus and javalina, cross-country running, long jump and wrestling.

The modern Olympic Games were created by Pierre de Coubertin, the main driver of of Physical Education in France, who wanted to get sporting ideals of classical Greece.

1896 The first modern olympic games, were held was  in Athens, Greece.
